What traces do humans leave behind in the world? How do they locate themselves in this complex structure of relationships, memories, signs and gestures?
As a filmmaker, Sebastian Fritzsch encounters these questions with the means of narration, while his photographic gaze captures the charm of moments and their poetry. Intuitively and quasi dissecting, he gropes his way as a painter, drawer and sculptor through the layers of his own inner landscapes, which reach far back into his own biographical past. In the ritualized gesture of expression he develops his own linguistic repertoire of recurring signs, „primitive“ and sacred, between withdrawal and transformation.
